You glance in the mirror and notice something you didn’t expect: a dark or black line along the edge of your dental crown. If the crown is otherwise functioning well, your dentist may simply recommend monitoring it. If you’re unhappy with its appearance, or if the crown has other problems, replacement with a modern metal-free restoration may be an option.
