Teeth Whitening

At Rockville Family Dentistry, we offer a variety of teeth whitening and cosmetic dentistry services. We can do some procedures in our office with just one visit. Additionally, we can make custom trays that you can wear at home to give you a more vibrant smile in as little as a few days!

Whichever you choose, we never recommend buying over-the-counter whitening agents. They won’t whiten your teeth as quickly or effectively. There’s also no way to be sure that they’re safe or healthy for your teeth.

You’ll fill transparent trays that fit your teeth with a whitening gel.

Insert the trays and wear them for the period of time prescribed.

You may wear the trays overnight or during the day, depending on how long you need to leave them in.

After just the first treatment, you should begin to notice results. These will only get better with additional use.

Veneers

Many people confuse veneers with crowns. However, veneers are a little different. Instead of covering your entire tooth, veneers just cover the visible parts. You have two main options for veneers. The first is ceramic veneers, which are produced in a dental lab. The second is a resin-based composite. Both are considered cosmetic dentistry procedures.

Regardless of which you choose, you’ll have your veneers in two to three visits to the dentist. You can make these beautiful covers last for years by properly caring for them.

If you have discolored, damaged or broken teeth, veneers may work for you.

Your dentist will eliminate the surface structure of your tooth to prepare for the veneer.

After the veneer is fabricated, your dentist will cement it to your tooth.
